1. On your amazon fire stick go to the home page and click on (Settings) at the top
Next, go to (Network) to make sure that you are connected to your own network (WiFi)
2. On your amazon fire stick go to the home page
3. Find the search option on the left side of the home page (magnifying glass).
4. Search for “Downloader” app. Open Downloader app (Orange box with the White arrow pointing down)
Next, while you are still in (Setting), go to (My Fire TV). Go to (Developer Options)
Turn ADB Debugging (On) Turn Apps from Unknown Sources (On)
If you don't see Developer Options, go to (My Fire TV or Device).
If you’re using a Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, or Fire TV Cube, go to: Settings > My Fire TV > About. Click on (Fire TV Stick 4K) 7 Times and you will become a Developer. Then you will see (Developer options) appear. Next: Turn ADB Debugging (On) Turn Apps from Unknown Sources (On)
If you’re using a Fire TV Smart TV, go to: Settings > Device & Software > About. Once there, repeatedly select the first menu item, until a countdown message appears near the bottom. After selecting the first item about 7 times, the message “No need, you are already a developer” will appear at the bottom to indicate you are done. Go back one menu to find the newly revealed “Developer Options” menu.

How to become a Developer
Amazon is now hiding the Developer Options menu by default so here is a quick video to show how to bring the menu back for enabling apps from unknown sources for sideloading and for turning on ADB debugging.
Find the search option on the left side of the home page (magnifying glass).
Search for “Downloader” app. Open Downloader app (Orange box with the White arrow pointing down)
Click on Allow
